This well-known restaurant in Tagaytay is the fifth branch in the Bag of Beans line is named after the owner Charito. This French style semi-fine dining restaurant has rustic, chic and flawlessly designed interiors inside and is more high-end than the rest of its other branches. The cozy ambiance will make you stay longer and will make you try more of their foods (if you have enough money). What makes it more appealing is the magnificent view of the lake and the volcano.
They have a variety of pricey options of food to choose from. The menu is a combination of Western and Filipino dishes.
I ordered Lamb Curry (Lamb shoulder, Pineapple salsa, coconut milk curry). It did not disappoint me, it was very tender and tasty. I also love the pickled side dish that comes with it.
Jonathan opts for baby back ribs (Slowly braised pork barbeque glaze. Served with buttered vegetables). It has a strong smoky barbeque taste, as for me nothing really special. Good thing that it was also tender, meat is almost falling off the bones.
My best friend told me that their blueberry cheesecake is a must try so we tried and ordered blueberry cheesecake for our dessert. For us, the taste and portion is not so worth the price. I still prefer the Starbucks blueberry cheesecake and my own recipe.
My final thoughts and opinion about our dining experience are just average. Interiors are great. It’s not for people looking for a quick bite though. The food is good but pricey, view and ambiance are meant to be enjoyed for long hours alone or with your loved ones.
