Wedding Anniversary Staycation at Taal Vista Hotel – Tagaytay City

We celebrated our first year wedding anniversary at Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay last year. It was just a short 2 nights staycation. We just eat, sleep, relax and enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel over looking the Taal Volcano.

Built in 1939, this upmarket hotel by Lawa ng Taal lake offers views of Mount Sungay and is an 8-minute walk from the Sky Eye Ferris wheel. It’s 4 km from Lourdes Church and 13 km from The People’s Park In The Sky.

I planned this ahead of time to to avail discounted rates. I strongly believed that celebrating one’s wedding anniversary must never be overlooked, as it reinforces the fact that your marriage is a priority. A wedding anniversary celebration also allows you to pull back from your daily grind and relive a moment that changed your life forever. Even if things aren’t perfect, staying together another year deserves a celebration.

Whenever I traveled to Tagaytay I have passed by Taal Vista Hotel quite a number of times but have never set foot on this beautiful property.  Taal Vista Hotel  on my own personal opinion offers one of, if not the best view of Taal Lake out of the places that I visited in Tagaytay.

Taal Vista has two wings: the lake wing and the mountain wing. We stayed at the premier lake room in the lake wing, over looking the majestic view of the volcano and the lake of Taal. The rooms are clean and minimalist. It has a King-sized bed, a sofa  with center table, a desk, a flat-screen TV with Cignal cable installed, a mini refrigerator, complimentary instant coffee, sugar & tea, complimentary bottled water (2), toiletries, hair dryer, safety box, robes, ironing board, etc.

When I made the reservations I informed them that we will be staying for our wedding anniversary and they really take note of it since we received this beautiful and yummy slice of cake from them with “Happy Wedding Anniversary” greetings from them.

The room also has a balcony with a beautiful view of Taal Lake and Volcano

We ate at their Veranda Restaurant since our stay is inclusive of breakfast buffet for 2 days and 1 lunch buffet. We were not able to take pictures of the food since there are many people at that time. They have wide selection of all Filipino food, they have nice and accommodating staffs too.

We strolled around the place and explored the different areas of the hotel. According to their website, in 2002, Taal Vista Hotel was reconstructed in the style of the original lodge. Extensions were added to the complex to provide more conference facilities and amenities for business and leisure activities. In 2004, after its renovation, the Hotel welcomed back its guests and visitors. Today, Taal Vista Hotel remains a landmark deeply entrenched in the history and heritage of Tagaytay City.

I must say that my husband and I truly enjoyed our wedding anniversary staycation at Taal Vista Hotel and will definitely consider staying here again. It is worth the drive away from the hustle and bustle in the city. It is advisable to book you reservations in advance to avail discounted rates or you can also avail their deals and promos.
